The manipulation of perception that a zero emission world is feasible, by looking only at one small part of the picture, while excluding the rest.
Eg electric cars, that are charged by power generated from coal or diesel generators, whose batteries consume huge quantities of fossil fuels in the mining process and manufacturing process, and an environment disaster for disposal. Plus the fossil fuels use to create the plastics and steel / aluminium to build the cars.

Similarly, planting new trees for carbon credits, but not giving credit for existing trees that don’t “tick the box”, bushland, pastureland, etc.
Destroying prime food producing farmland to instead grow trees.
